SHAWNEE — Oklahoma City's Terry Johnson hit a three-pointer with 4.7 seconds left and Oklahoma Baptist missed on the final shot, swallowing a bitter 66-65 loss at home Thursday. After a timeout following Johnson's three, OBU got the ball in the hands of Morris Woods. Woods got the ball into the front court and took a well-contested three-point try from 8 feet behind the arch. The shot went off the back rim as the horn sounded. OCU led 31-26 at halftime after holding the Bison to 32 percent shooting in the first half. OBU trailed 38-37 with 15:20 to go, but used an 11-2 run to take a 48-40 advantage with 12:02 left. The Stars later answered with an 11-0 run to take a 53-50 lead with 5:24 remaining. A three-pointer by Cale Jackson tied the game at 57-57 with three minutes left and OBU got a three-point lead on two Hayden Darst free throws with 36 ticks left on the clock. Jamaal Crayton scored in the paint to make it a one-point game and OCU fouled Kendall Parks. Parks made one of two free throws and gave the Bison a 65-63 lead with 15 seconds left, setting up Johnson's heroics. OBU got 17 points from Aaron Abram and 16 from Woods. R.J. McGhee led OCU with 20 points with Johnson adding 17.
