  • DALE — Class 2A second-ranked Dale employed three pitchers Tuesday en route to an 11-4 triumph over Purcell.
    Starter Hunter Pinkston fanned two, walked two and allowed two hits in two innings. Xavier Lanham, who also worked two innings, surrendered two hits, fanned one and walked one.
    Dale accumulated 14 hits in six innings with six players — Gage Ross, Hunter Sanford, Tanner Nelson, Skyler Martin, Pinkston and Lanham — posting two hits apiece.
    Ross had a 2-run homer in the second as Dale scored five times. It was the second HR of the season for Ross.
    Sanford, Pinkston and Martin had a double apiece.
    Dale also scored four runs in the sixth.
    The Pirates, 6-0, were charged with three errors while Purcell had one.
    The Pirates will play Blanchard and Tecumseh Thursday at the McLoud Tournament.
