  • ASHER — The Class A second-ranked Lady Indians of Asher registered 14 hits Monday in whipping Maud 13-3.

  • ASHER — The Class A second-ranked Lady Indians of Asher registered 14 hits Monday in whipping Maud 13-3.
    The game was stopped after four innings on the run rule.
    Asher, 10-3, also took advantage of seven Maud errors.
    Tarin Dubler led Asher’s offensive assault with a 3-of-3 outing — two singles and a double. Haylee Andrews went 2 of 3 with a double for Asher. Also for the victors, Marissa Cheatwood notched a 2-run double and Sarah Wauahdooah was 3 of 3, all singles.
    Haley Odell and Kayla Riddle of Asher each had a 2-run single.
    Asher will host Wanette at 5 p.m. today in a doubleheader.
    For Maud, Ashley Fletcher came up with two doubles and one RBI. Teammates Summer Horn and Emilee Riddle notched two singles apiece.
    Maud is ranked seventh in Class 2A.
    Maud’s next action is today at Maysville.
