  • Kelsay strikes out 14 in Earlsboro win
    MILL CREEK — Connor Kelsay amassed 14 strikeouts while leading Earlsboro to a 9-3 win over Wapanucka at the Mill Creek Tournament Saturday.
    Kelsay only allowed the Indians four hits.
    The Wildcats seized control early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and four more in the second.
    Catcher Kaiden Orso finished as Earlsboro’s top hitter, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Colton Glasgow had a solo homer while Kelsay drove in one run and scored another.
    Savages finish I-40 event with blowout win
    CLINTON — Day three of the I-40 Classic Tournament was a short one for Tecumseh. The Savages got to return home early after needing only four innings to whip Seiling, 15-5.
    Tecumseh scored nine runs in the bottom of the fourth to activate the run rule and end the game.
    Jeffrey Shafer pitched all four innings for the Savages, allowing six hits and one walk while recording five strikeouts.
    The Savages combined for 10 hits and took advantage of seven Seiling errors.
    Leading the way for Tecumseh were four players with two hits each. Gus Hall’s two singles led to three RBI. Garrett Trammell also drove in three runs, including a two-run double in the fourth inning. Jasper Smiley had a single, double and two RBI while Easton Marrs finished 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
    Tecumseh (8-9) will be back on its home diamond Monday to face Harrah at 4:30 p.m.
