The Lady Savages earned 11 medals in finishing second at the Purcell meet on Tuesday, while the Tecumseh boys finished fifth.

The Tecumseh Lady Savages finished second at the Purcell track meet on Tuesday, getting a first place finish from the 3200-meter relay team as well as 10 other medals.

The Tecumseh boys finished fifth in the team standings, with Brandin Bowie earning first place in the discus.

The team of Tesa Potter, Taci Richardson, Bianca Mason and Taylor Williams finished the 3200 relay in a time of 10:40.5 to win gold.

Richardson also had a second place finish in the 1600 meters.

The Lady Savages also got a third place finish in the 300-meter hurdles from Bianca Mason, as well as in the 800 and 1600 relays and a fifth place finish in the 400 relay

In the field events Zandy Sigman finished second in the pole vault with a height of 6-0.

Hope Coleman and Brittany Thomas both won two medals each in the discus and shot put events. Coleman finished third in both while Thomas was fourth.

In addition to Bowie’s win in the discus, the Savages got a second place finish from the team of Joshua Kelsey, Duane Coleman, Dwayne Walls and Richard Miranda in the 3200-meter relay.

The Savages also got a third place finish from Austin Trolinger in the 300 hurdls, while Miranda finished fifth in the 3200 and the 1600 and Kelsey was fourth in the 800 meters.

Tecumseh was also fifth in the 1600 relay. The team of Michael Graham, Corban Stagner, Mitchell Graham and Devon Reid finished in 3:52.29.

The Savages’ Dakota Paxson finished third in the shot put.

Tecumseh’s next track meet will be Friday at Sulphur.
