The Shawnee Lady Wolves finished fourth in the team standings at Putnam City on Friday, as the boys and girls combined for four wins and 16 medals.

PUTNAM CITY – Shawnee’s track teams won four events at the Putnam City track meet on Friday.

The Lady Wolves won three of those gold medals and had 10 medalists overall, finishing in fourth place in the team standings with 75 points, the highest finish for a 5A school.

Kelsey Simmons and Mo Tramble won the two individual gold medals for the Shawnee girls. Simmons won the 400 meters with a time of 58.65, just .15 ahead of Sydney Ellis of Lawton Eisenhower.

Tramble won the 800 meters with a time of 2:29.98, while teammate Paige Hughes finished third.

The Lady Wolves also won the 3200-meter relay, finishing 23 seconds ahead of Westmoore. Shawnee also finished second in the 1600-meter relay.

Rounding out the track events were Sadie Cullison and Daylan Storie’s fifth and sixth place finish in the 3200 meters, while Ashley Gonjou was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles.

Tiffany Gardner won the Lady Wolves’ only medal in field events with a third place in the pole vault.

The Wolves struck gold in the pole vault with Coby Barham clearing a height of 13-3 to take the title.

Jackson Winrow and Malik Sharp finished fifth in the long jump and discus, respectively, while Devon Watts was fourth in the 110 hurdles and Andrew McCann sixth in the 100-meter dash.

The Wolves were also fifth in the 400-meter relay.
