Tecumseh and Bethel both scored big wins over ranked 6A opponents.

Tecumseh takes down Westmoore

WESTMOORE — Tecumseh softball took down No. 3 ranked Westmoore in Class 6A, 10-8, Tuesday.

The Lady Savages had seven multiple hitters to clinch the close win.

Hilary Babbit knocked a home run in the fourth inning, followed by a two-run home run in the seventh inning. Babbit finished by going 3-for-4 and had one single and three runs batted in.

Jessica Cummings also notched a home run, a single and had four RBIs.

Kelsie Carsten went 2-for-3 with a double and two singles, while Logan Hays and Ashley Santino each went 2-for-3.

Frankie Hull and Bailey Smith each went 2-for-4 and added two singles.

Tecumseh will be in action at 1 p.m. Thursday at Moore.

Maud falls to New Lima

NEW LIMA – The Maud Lady Tigers ended their regular season on a down note Tuesday, falling to New Lima 10-1

Ashley Fletcher, Addie McGill and Summer Horn all had two hits for the Lady Tigers, who had their three-game losing streak snapped in the loss.

Maud (18-10) will open their district tournament at Mason on Friday. The Lady Tigers will play Prue at 10 a.m.

Bethel takes down Moore

BETHEL — The Lady Wildcats captured a huge win against Moore, 15-7, Tuesday, improving their record 29-5.

Bethel had several players contribute to their victory.

Rachel Wade ended the night by going 3-for-3 with three singles and two runs batted in.

Montana Price also went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Mikayla Whitten added a 3-RBI double in the 5th inning for the Lady Wildcats and finished 2-for-4, while Zoe Rayner hit a double going 2-for-3.

Shelby Miller and Ashley Elmore each went 2-for-4 and Rachel Stark contributed an RBI double.

Up next for the No.1 ranked team in Class 5A will be the District Playoffs. Bethel will face McLoud at 4 p.m., Thursday.
