  • Tecumseh baseball blows out Prague

  • The Savages had a season high in hits and runs in downing the Red Devils in their season finale.

  • PRAGUE – Knocking out a season-high 15 hits, the Tecumseh Savages scored six runs in the seventh inning to pull away for a 13-3 win at Prague Monday.
    Jeffrey Shafer went 2-for-4 on the night, driving in six runs. Shafer had a three-run home run in the fifth, a two-run double in the seventh and a sacrifice fly.
    Micah Sanchez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, hitting a two-run home run in the third. Jacob Smiley and Cameron Leetka also had two hits apiece.
    Smiley got the win on the mound, pitching two innings and allowing two hits and a walk while striking out two. In all, the Savages used four pitchers on the night
    Tecumseh (13-21) broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the fifth, added another in the sixth then put the game away with the six-run seventh.
    Tecumseh will open the postseason with a district matchup at Bethel beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m.
