  • Funeral services have been scheduled for a Meeker High School sophomore who died Wednesday in a car accident near Prague.
Tracey Don Fullbright, 17, played both football and baseball at Meeker, where he also was a member of FFA.
He had been reported missing and the crash was discovered Wednesday morning along County Road 3520, about 100 yards south of U.S. 62.
Although the Oklahoma Highway Patrol didn’t release Fullbright’s name, the Office of Chief Medical Examiner released his identity on Thursday.
In their reports, troopers said the driver of a Volkswagen was going southbound on CR 3520 and crossed the intersection at U.S. 62 before losing control of the vehicle, causing it to roll three and one-half times. The driver was ejected about 90 feet, the patrol reported.
Amy Elliott, ME’s office spokeswoman, said further tests are being done before a ruling is made on Fullbright’s cause and manner of death, although reports do show he was involved in a traffic accident.
Funeral services for Fullbright will be held on 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the Meeker High School Football Field in Meeker with Robert Prater officiating. See related obituary on Page 4A.
