The Dale Lady Pirates advanced to the 4A state slow pitch tournament with blowout wins over Kiefer and Chisholm on Thursday, while Asher defeated Mill Creek and Tupelo to advance in Class A.
Kiefer — Ranked No.1 in Class 4A, Dale softball advanced to their fifth consecutive appearance at the State Championship with wins over Kiefer and Chisholm in the regional playoffs Thursday.
The Lady Pirates pummeled over Kiefer in the first game, 17-4.
Dale had two players with key hits.
Jaelin Flewallen hit a double and a home run, while Ryanne Griggs knocked in a home run.
Dale shut down Chisholm, 11-1 in five innings during the second game.
Shelby Savage had a double and a home run and Flewallen added a home run.
The Lady Pirates will enter the tournament with a record of, 34-8.
Dale won the State Championship title back in 2012 and received runner-up in 2013.
Dale’s opponent and time of the game will be announced Monday and the tournament will begin Tuesday at Firelake.

Asher advances to state
ASHER – The Asher Lady Indians advanced to the Class A state slow pitch softball tournament with wins over Mill Creek and Tupelo in their regional playoff tournament Thursday.
In their first game the Lady Indians (28-7) defeated Mill Creek 13-1 in four innings.
The Lady Indians pounded out 17 hits, scoring seven runs in the fourth to put the game away.
Tristan Milburn was 3-for-4 with a double, while winning pitcher Sarah Wauahdooah was 2-for-2 with four runs batted in.
Tarin Dubler, Haley Odell, Haylee Andrews and Malerey Luman each had two hits.
In their second the Lady Indians scored five times in the final two innings to overcome an early deficit in a 6-2 win over Tupelo.
Tupelo scored twice in the fourth inning to take a 2-1, but Asher countered with three in the sixth and two more in the top of the seventh to get the win.
Haylee Andrews hit a bases-loaded double to drive in all three runs in the sixth inning.
Kayla Riddle was 3-for-3 on the day, with Shelby Fleming, Desaray Goodgion and Wauahdooah all adding two hits apiece.
Asher will play in the Class A state tournament on Wednesday at Firelake, with the time and opponent to be determined.
