DALE – In their final game before their regional tournament on Thursday, the Dale Pirates held off Blanchard 5-2 at home on Monday.

Hunter Pinkston started the game on the mound and picked up the win, pitching the first two innings. Pinkston also went 2-for-2 at the plate with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning.

Pinkston’s home run tied the score after the Lions (24-9) scored two in the top of the inning.

Skylar Martin added a solo home run in the fourth inning for the Pirates (23-7) which made the score 4-2 at the time. Dalton Tillison went 2-for-2 at the plate as well.

The Pirates will open their 2A regional at Christian Heritage on Thursday at 2 p.m. If they win, Dale will play at 4 p.m. If they lose, their second game will be at 6 p.m.
