  • The search continues for the suspect being sought in two robberies — days apart — at the Pflash Stop, 623 W. Farrall.
Shawnee Police Detective Jason Crouch said the Pflash Stop store clerk identified the second robbery suspect as the same man from the earlier hold-up.
“It’s the exact same person,” Crouch said.
During the second robbery, the suspect, identified as skinny black male who is about 5 feet, five inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, was wearing a white shirt and black pants, along with a Missouri Tigers Beanie cap. He reportedly has a salt and pepper beard.
The suspect entered the store, pointed a small black gun at the clerk; the suspect grabbed some money from the drawer and left the store, running south on the east side of the business.
On the first hold up days earlier, t he suspect had his face covered with a black bandana.
On that same night, the Kwick Stop at Center and Independence Streets was robbed about two hours later, with two black males entering the store and pointed guns at the store clerk there. The suspects demanded money, with one suspect ejecting a round from his firearm onto the counter at that store, reports shows.
Both suspects in that case were wearing black stocking caps; one had a blue bandana over his face and the other a black bandana. Crouch said police believe one of those two suspects was the same one involved in the Pflash Stop incidents.
Anyone with information about the case or a possibility identity of the suspects is asked to call Shawnee police, 273-2121 or CrimeStoppers at 273-0989.
