  • Twelve people were jailed over the Memorial Day weekend on various drug-related complaints after local authorities raided a Shawnee home to serve a search warrant.
Eight of the 12 suspects arrested in that ordeal remained jailed in the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center late Tuesday. Formal charges have not been filed.
One of the suspects, Angel Wilson, 29, remained jailed on complaints of maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept or sold, possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm after former conviction. Her bond was set at $10,000.
Eleven other arrestees, as outlined below, also were jailed on various drug-related complaints as a result of this bust.
Arrest affidavits show the arrests occurred after authorities converged on 2311 Crest Drive in Shawnee to serve the search warrant.
As officers approached, they noticed a Blue Mustang parked out front that was occupied by several convicted felons, the warrant shows, so those persons were detained for questioning.
As the entry team approached the front door, officers at the back detained a suspect running out the back door before crews swept the house and detained many other people inside.
Once inside, officers saw marijuana in plain view in the living room, along with paraphernalia, along with two different calibers of ammunition in the living room floor.
The affidavit shows nine people were inside the home, with five of them reported to be convicted felons.
All of those involved were detained while the residence and vehicles were searched, with authorities finding guns, ammunition, along with marijuana, including one piece weighing 12.4 grams; a plastic baggie of methamphetamine weighing about 1.1 grams, along with numerous other drug-related items, including a Hello Kitty notebook described by investigators as a “drug ledger” with the amounts people owed, the affidavit shows.
Others arrested in connection with this case and held on bond are:
    • Melissa Deer, 35, remained jailed Tuesday on 25,000 bond for possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution of CDS.
    • David Jones, 31, remained jailed on complaints of possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a telecommunication device to facilitate a felony. Bond was set at $12,000.
    • Kelly Watson, 28, was jailed on complaints of possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia, with bond set at $6,000.
