  • McLoud softball goes 2-3 at Byng tourney

  • The McLoud Lady Redskins went 2-3 during two days at the Byng/Konawa Back to School Classic, finishing Saturday with a 4-1 over Coalgate and a 2-1 loss to Konawa.
    Erin Estep had four hits over the two games, including a pair of triples, driving in a run against Coalgate.
    Mia Key had a hit in each game, including an RBI against Coalgate. Brooke Huffman had two hits against Konawa, driving in the Lady Redskins’ only run of the game.
    Estep, Key and Huffman also led the way in the win over Hominy. Estep drove in three runs, while Key went 2-3 and Huffman had a two-run hit in the 5-1 win.
    Key came up with two hits in each game on Friday, while Huffman was 2-3 against McLoud with a pair of RBI.
    Kaylee Williams drove in the only run in the loss against Latta.
    McLoud will play at Tecumseh on Monday and at Dale on Tuesday.
