  • Forty-six months in federal prison

  • Eufaula man sentenced on conspiracy charge.

  • The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, announced that Jon Paul Shropshire 54, of Eufaula, was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release for Conspiracy.
    The charge is a result of an investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. The defendant was indicted in April, 2013 and pled guilty in May, 2014.
    The information alleged that from about September, 2011, until about September 26, 2012, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere, the defendant, did knowingly and intentionally conspire, confederate and agree with others both known and unknown to commit offenses against the United States.
    The Honorable James H. Payne, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, presided over the hearing. The defendant will remain in the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which he will serve his nonparolable sentence.
