VARNUM – Landon Grissom threw four scoreless innings as the Asher Indians defeated Varnum 8-0 on Monday.

The Indians (6-4) won for the fifth straight time as Grissom struck out four and allowed two hits and two walks in moving to 2-0 on the season.

Colby Carpenter led the offense with three hits and two RBI, while Caleb Dubler had a double, a triple and an RBI. George Merchain and Tim Johnson each added a double.

Asher will play Moss at the Roff Tournament on Thursday at 5 p.m.
