Dale, Tecumseh and Chandler all posted wins on the first day of the McLoud/Dale Festival, while Asher and Maud posted easy wins.

DALE – The Dale Lady Pirates needed just six total innings to run-rule a pair of opponents on the first day of the McLoud/Dale Festival on Tuesday.

In their first game the Lady Pirates (14-3) downed Wellston 16-0. Ryanne Griggs and Shelby Savage had three hits apiece, while Lauren Hood and Kylee Burris had two hits each.

Lauren Hood got the win, allowing one hit and striking out four over three innings.

Dale’s second game of the day, against Harrah, produced similar results, with a 12-0 win in three innings.

Reagan Holt led the way with three hits, including a double and a triple, while Burris had two more hits and Dani Manning had a double and a triple.

Taylor Powell struck out one and allowed one hit in three innings, improving to 9-1 on the season.

Dale will play Luther and Seminole on Thursday at the McLoud Festival, with their first game beginning at 7 p.m.

Chandler downs Byng, Moore JV

Baleigh Herring was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, forcing in the winning run as the Chandler Lady Lions defeated Byng 6-5 to go 2-0 on the first day of the Dale/McLoud Festival.

The Lady Lions (20-2) defeated the Moore JV 5-2 in their first game Tuesday.

Herring finished the win over the Lady Pirates with two RBI, while Jayden Solberg was 2-3 with three runs batted in.

Neleigh Herring got the win in the circle, allowing five runs on 10 hits while striking out five in five innings of work.

In the win over Moore Katie Lane was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out five.

Neleigh Herring hit two triples and drove in three runs, while Chastyn Spruill had two hits and an RBI.

Chandler will play McLoud on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

Tecumseh overcomes McLoud

MCLOUD – The McLoud Lady Redskins scored four runs in the first inning but the Lady Savages pulled away for a 13-5 win in four innings at the McLoud/Dale Festival Tuesday.

Aspen Grimes and Franki Hull had three hits each, while Carly Scallorn and Caitlin Bingham had two hits apiece.

Colby Meeks got the win in the circle, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks in four innings.

Tecumseh scored five in the first and pulled away with three in the third and four in the fourth.

Tecumseh will play Byng and the Moore JV at the McLoud Festival beginning at 4 p.m.

Asher blanks Wanette

ASHER – Tarin Dubler pitched four perfect innings as the Asher Lady Indians run-ruled Wanette 11-0 at home on Tuesday.

Dubler struck out 10 of the 12 batters she faced. Braxten Frazier led the offense with a pair of triples as the Lady Indians took advantage of six Wanette errors.

Shelby Fleming also added an RBI triple.

Asher (14-3) will take on Wilson-Henryetta on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the New Lima Tournament.

Maud run-rules Vanoss

VANOSS – The Maud Lady Tigers needed just three innings to run-rule Vanoss 14-0 on the road Tuesday.

Maud (7-5) pulled away with seven runs in the third inning, pounding out 12 hits on the night.

Sierra Sanders had two hits, including a double, and scored four runs. Megan Willis had three hits and three RBI, while Jocee Sparks was 3-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in.

Maud will play Moss at 10 a.m. Thursday at the New Lima Tournament.
