CHICKASHA – The Shawnee Lady Wolves followed up their second place finish in the Carl Albert Tournament with a straight set win over Chickasha on the road Tuesday.

The Lady Wolves (8-5) won 25-19, 25-16 and 25-20. Tiffany Gardner led the way with 9 kills, 5 digs and 2 aces. Bailey Kasterke added 11 assists and 6 kills.

The Lady Wolves moved up to number eight in Class 5A in the latest coaches’ poll after winning for the seventh time in their last nine games.

Emmy Davies added 11 digs and five aces. The Lady Wolves overcame an early 13-5 deficit in game three and trailed 19-17 late before closing the match out with an 8-1 run.

Shawnee will play at Putnam City on Thursday at 6 p.m.
