SHAWNEE, Okla. —

A 35-yard goal by Rogers State and a 12-save effort by Hillcat keeper Bailey Lynn ended Oklahoma Baptist’s women’s soccer season in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament in Shawnee Saturday, 1-0.
Abby Rickner recorded the game’s only goal, with the wind behind her, from 35 yards away in the 16th minute.
The Lady Bison missed a chance to tie in the 26th minute when Mengjun Zang’s shot glanced off the cross bar.
Despite playing into the wind, OBU out-shot Rogers State in the first half and peppered the shot chart in the second half. OBU put 10 of 14 shots on goal.
Lynn stopped all 10 shots in the second half and had 12 saves for the contest, turning away three shots each by Zang and Marinne Burnham and two from Lin Yan.
It was the final college soccer match for Zang, Yan and Megan Dumas.
OBU finishes the season with a 12-7 record.
