Annual auction set for Nov. 5

Seminole Chamber of Commerce supporters will have the opportunity to do some early holiday shopping at the annual “Friends of the Chamber” auction scheduled for Nov. 5. The event will be held at the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on the campus of Seminole State College.
Among the items to be auctioned are tickets to the Dickies 500 NASCAR race Nov. 8 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, tickets to the first round of the NCAA “Final Four” basketball tournament in Oklahoma City in March and VIP tickets to the International Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City in January.
Golf outings to several major Oklahoma courses, concert and play tickets, gift baskets, holiday decorations and numerous electronic media games and gifts will also be auctioned to benefit the Chamber.
Dustin Hogue, chamber president-elect, who is serving as Chair of the Auction Committee, said the format of the event will include a brisket buffet dinner with baked potato bar and feature both a silent and live auction. Items will be available for viewing beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $25 per person. Corporate tables, with eight tickets per table, are available for $150. Tickets may be purchased at the chamber office at 326 E. Evans or reserved by calling 382-3640. The event is open to public.
