A Meeker woman remained hospitalized in Oklahoma City Monday following a weekend accident.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night on EW 108, about one-half mile east of Brangus Road in Pottawatomie County.
Troopers said Lindsay Sherrill, 22, Meeker, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima eastbound on the county road at the time of the accident. For unknown reasons, her vehicle departed the roadway and hit a utility pole, then rolled one-half time, the report said.
Sherrill was taken by private vehicle to Unity Health Center in Shawnee, then transferred by ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted with back injuries, the OHP said.
A hospital representative said Monday that Sherrill remained hospitalized in fair condition.
Troopers said it was unknown if seat belts were in use, but the vehicle’s airbag did deploy.
Trooper Jason Richardson investigated the accident with assistance from Trooper Matt White.
Their report shows there was an odor of alcoholic beverage.
