Groff
Air Force Airman Daniel L. Groff has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Michael and Lisa Groff of McLoud.
Groff is a 2004 graduate of Mcloud High School.
White

Gayla C. Straight has joined the United States Air Force under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to enlist and delay going into basic military training for up to one year.
Qualified men and women are eligible to receive skill training, experience, and up to $20,000 in education benefits.
After completing basic military training, airmen receive specialized technical training in one of more than 125 job career fields.
Straight, a 2006 graduate of Shawnee High School, will report to Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for basic training in December 2008.
She is the daughter of Lela and Lester Straight of Shawnee.

He is the son of Cyndy Flemming of Wanette and grandson of John Stockbridge of Wanette.
The airman is a 2008 graduate of Lexington High School.
Poindexter
Army Pvt. Jamie L. Poindexter has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Poindexter is the daughter of Tracy Poindexter of Harrah and Tracy McGlothin of McLoud.
In 2007, the private graduated from McLoud High School.
