Great addition to city
I want to say I really like the horses around Shawnee I think it adds to our city. I want to thank all the business owners for displaying them.
God is in control
I really appreciate Bryan Newell for explaining the global warming issue. I agree. I have read the bible and if you read it you will see that God put the moon and sun to control the world and man will not destroy the world, God will when he gets ready.
Looming catastrophe
I can’t understand why everyone is worrying about those cheaply made plastic horses when Shawnee faces a looming catastrophe. The main water line from the Shawnee lake is more than 85 years old and could go out at any time and there is no plan to fix it any time soon. We also need another water tower and main intake valves at Twin Lake No. 2 need to be replaced. Money was found for plastic horses but not a dime was budgeted for the water system, which has one foot on a banana peel. Shawnee needs to get its priorities straight.
