Local residents named to Who’s Who

Eight Oklahoma Baptist University seniors from Shawnee were named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for the 2008-09 academic year.
The Shawnee residents that were honored include Lacy Nicole Abbott, Jayme Lynn Boyer, Rachel Dawn Mann, Andrew Davis O’Gwynn, Lisa Haywood Vernon and Megan Elizabeth Warren. Billy Earl Benson and Brooke Adelle Dockery, residents of McLoud, also were honored.
Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities is an annual honors program recognizing the leading U.S. college students. Since 1934, the program has been acknowledging academic excellence, outstanding accomplishments and contributions to community and school.
