Students in Darrell Frerichs’ Electrical Careers class and Jodie Eiland’s Carpentry/Masonry Trades class at Gordon Cooper Technology Center have been working hard on new locker rooms under construction for the Meeker High School football stadium.
Supervised students are doing the electrical wiring and service work and the carpentry students are building the structure’s soffit, fascia and installing coil trim. The Meeker Quarterback Club and others are donating some of the materials while GCTC provides student labor at no cost to MHS.
“This is great, real-world experience for our students that can’t be duplicated inside our shop,” Frerichs said.
