Several file for school board seats in Pottawatomie County

A number of candidates have filed for seats with boards of education across Pottawatomie County, and those qualified and still interested in putting their name in the hat have until 5 p.m. today.
The three-day filing period began Monday morning, and concludes today at the Pottawatomie County Election Board, located in the courthouse in Shawnee.
Among those filing Monday were incumbents Bo Bohuslavicky and David Parsons, who serve in Office 5 and Office 7, respectively, with the Shawnee Public Schools board of education. As of Tuesday, neither incumbent had drawn any opposition.
The only race that developed by Tuesday is for Wanette’s Office 4. Bidding for the seat are Clifford Lowery, who filed Monday, and Lynda Fullingim, who filed Tuesday.
Adam Hester is the only candidate who has filed for North Rock Creek’s Office 3, and Marsha Foreman is the only candidate who has filed for Pleasant Grove’s Office 3.
Bonnie Boone is the only candidate who has filed for Grove’s Office 3, and Derrick Kasterke is the only candidate who has filed for South Rock Creek’s Office 3.
Mary J. Sulivant is the only candidate who has filed for Macomb’s Office 4, and Rachell L. Jones is the only candidate who has filed for Earlsboro’s Office 4.
The only candidate to file for Earlsboro’s Office 3 as of Tuesday is Jamie A. Baker.
Randy Stevens is the only candidate who has filed for Asher’s Office 4, and Gary A. Estep is the only candidate who has filed for McLoud’s Office 4.
Dean Evans and J.E. Woody Pryor are the only candidates who have filed for Gordon Cooper Technology Center’s Office 1 and Office 4, respectively.
As of Tuesday, no candidates have filed for Dale’s Office 4, Bethel’s Office 4, Tecumseh’s Office 4 or Maud’s Office 4.
