SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Seminole County Business and Professional Women are calling all parents to enter their children in the organization’s fourth annual baby pageant.
The Seminole County B&PW Baby Pageant will be held June 28 in the Seminole State College Enoch Kelly Haney Center starting at 3 p.m. Proceeds from the event will help fund the organization’s scholarship to a Seminole State College female student.
“Each year, the pageant continues to grow with more and more participants,” said Seminole County B&PW member and pageant coordinator Katherine Benton. “We have several different categories to allow children of all ages to participate, plus the proceeds go to a good cause,” Benton said.
Pageant participants will be judged on beauty, presence, poise and attire. Categories for the contestants range from birth to five years of age with divisions for boys and girls. Winners will be selected for each of the categories: Baby, 0-5 months; Teeny, 6-12 months; Tiny, 13-23 months; Toddler, 24-35 months; and Little, 3-5 years.
Entry cost is $25 per child and each contestant will receive two tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased for $5 and children under six are admitted free.
Participants may also submit a recent photo to participate in the “Most Photogenic” award for $10. An overall Mr. and Miss Photogenic will be chosen from the photogenic category winners.
The deadline for pageant entries is June 13.
Entry forms may be picked up at the Seminole, Shawnee, Tecumseh or Wewoka Chambers of Commerce.
