The choral ensembles at Oklahoma Baptist University will present their Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, in Raley Chapel’s Yarborough Auditorium.
The public is invited to attend the free performance.

John Walker McBee graduated from The University of Tulsa College of Law Dec. 15. He is the son of Jim McBee, step-mother Elaine McBee, of Shawnee and Sherry McBee of Tulsa.
Earlsboro high school announces nine weeks honor roll.
The 2010 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band Selection Tour visited McLoud High School this week to select one student-marching musician to the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.
McLoud High School honored Lane Todd, their student-marching musician, before his band members, classmates, fans and family during a band class presentation.
Oklahoma Baptist University saw an enrollment increase for the 2009-10 academic year, with a total of 1,764 students enrolled for the fall semester. That is a slight gain from the fall 2008 headcount of 1,753 students.
The October Students of the Month were named Friday at Dale Elementary School.
More high school students will have an opportunity to be academically recognized at graduation after the Shawnee Board of Education passed new standards.
The new three-tiered system will replace the current system of only honoring a valedictorian and salutatorian.
The motion passed with a vote of 5-1, with second vice president Larry Walker voting against the proposal. Member Bo Bohuslavicky was not present at the meeting.
Walker’s main reason for not supporting the measure was his belief the new standards could possibly lessen the value of being valedictorian or salutatorian.
“It cuts both ways and we don’t know which way it cuts,” he said.
Walker also asked if the committee, made up of counselors, parents and others, considered the students’ thoughts.
The Oklahoma Music Teachers’ Association conducted Junior Piano Auditions Oct. 24 on the Oklahoma Baptist University campus.
Seminole State College will be recommended for the maximum 10-year accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools with no visits, reports or further follow-up required.
