A group of St. Gregory’s University faculty and staff is sponsoring three poetry writing workshops in February.
All three events are free and open to the public. Each workshop will be accompanied by a poetry sharing session and an opportunity to write poetry.
The workshops are sponsored by SGU faculty members Dr. Eric Gray and Sister Marcianne Kappes, C.S.T., and library director Anita Semtner. “Romance, Love & Hearts” will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. in the third-floor lounge of Benedictine Hall. “Japanese Haiku” is at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, in the SGU Library.
The last workshop, “The Life and Works of Jessica Powers,” will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the third-floor lounge. It will be led by Sister Marcianne, who is the author of the book, “Track of the Mystic: The Spirituality of Jessica Powers.” Following this workshop, a book-signing session will take place.
