Local quilter Faye Stone is pictured with a Celtic pattern quilt she made. The quilt is being raffled to raise money for the local dance troupe All About Irish. Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will help send the group to competitions in Ohio and New Mexico in August and October. The quilt will be raffled at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in Woodland Veterans Park in Shawnee. The All About Irish dancers will perform from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that day as well. Until then, the quilt is on display at Lake Road Pet Boarding, 1929 W. Benedict. Tickets can be purchased there or by calling Nancy Spears at 395-9775.
