CUSHING, Okla. —

Chris Wolfe may have a hard time getting out of bed this morning.
Wolfe carried the pigskin 41 times and gained 246 yards Friday night to propel Seminole to a vital 28-7 victory over Cushing.
Seminole, 4-5 overall, went to 3-3 in District 4A-2 play and broke a fourth-place tie with Cushing (3-6, 2-4).
Seminole head coach Mike Snyder said Wolfe’s previous single-game high for carries had been 32.
“Cushing did some stuff to take our passing game away so we said the heck with it in the second half and just pounded the ball,” Snyder said.
Seminole, with a win this Friday night over McLoud, will grab the fourth and final playoff berth from 4A-2. It would mark Seminole’s 25th consecutive playoff appearance.
“We stayed alive,” Snyder said. “It’s in our hands now. If we don’t get into the playoffs, it’s our own fault.”
After a scoreless first quarter, Adam Kuehner fielded a 9-yard scoring pass from Garrett Clark and Zach MeGee converted the first of four extra-point boots to make it 7-0.
Seminole upped the advantage to 14-0 when Wolfe scored from the 2-yard line.
A 15-yard pass reception by Garrett Evans brought Cushing within 14-7 at the half.
Wolfe then added a 10-yard scoring run in the third quarter and a 9-yard scoring dash in the fourth.
Seminole quarterback Garrett Clark completed 5 of 10 passes for 80 yards with no interceptions.
Seminole rushed for 314 yards while Cushing was limited to 87.
“Their tailback was a very good player and we probably held him to about 50 yards total,” Snyder said.
Josh Cramer of Seminole had a 43-yard reception in the second quarter. Teammate Nolan Davenport posted a 14-yard reception.
Kuehner rushed for 42 yards on five carries and also had an interception.
