RIPLEY — Trace Dilliner and Namath Farriell earned pitching victories Tuesday as Dale’s baseballers recorded victories over Ripley (14-0) and Olive (10-0).
In the five-inning game against Ripley, Dilliner went the first three innings and Tanner Goodwin the final two.
Dale sent 12 batters to the plate in a nine-run third inning.
The Pirates amassed 16 hits as Dilliner was the sparkplug with two home runs — a 2-run clout in the fifth and a 3-run blast in the third.
Teammate Ty Flewallen was 4-of-4 — two doubles and two singles — while Farriell added a double and single. Dalton Streber posted two doubles and a single, and Tyler Holton came through with three singles.
In the four-inning contest versus Olive, Dale accumulated 11 hits with Farriell leading the way at 3-of-3 — one triple and two singles. Goodwin had a double and single while teammates Landon Coon and Asa Manship notched two singles each.
Dale (10-2) will compete Thursday through Saturday at the Latta Tournament. Thursday, Dale will meet Ripley at 5 p.m.
