BYNG — The Shawnee Lady Wolves got one hit in one game and forced a shutout in the other as they split their games Saturday with host Byng and Durant.
They started off being dealt a 2-1 defeat by Byng. In that contest, Erin Bonner scored Shawnee’s only run on a throwing error. The only hit from the Lady Wolves came on a single from Sidney Groff.
However, Shawnee would come right back with a 4-0 victory over Durant.
In the win over the Lady Lions, Sidney Boyer hit a two-out double and scored the first run on a run batted in single from Harley Davis in the first inning.
In the third inning, Kara Penson scored on a fielder’s choice to make it 2-0 in the third.
Shawnee got it’s final two runs in the seventh when Penson scored on an RBI double from Brittany Hampton, who later plated on another RBI double from Davis.
Stacey Stovall (2-1) got the win on the hill. Despite the loss to Byng, she forced nine strikouts in that game.
Against Durant, she gave up four hits, struck out five batters and yielded only two walks.
Sand Springs

Kim Billie (20-7) got the pitching win in all three games as the Lady Savages won the Sand Springs Tournament.
In the championship game win over Beggs, Micah Laughlin hit a three-run triple to break the game open. Paige Lindaburg and Pebbles Paxon went 2-for-3. Pebbles Paxon also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in.
In the win over Tulsa Kelley, Laughlin hit a triple. The Lady Savages got two runs in the fourth and one on the fifth.
Against Mannford, Catie McBay went 2-for-3 at bat. Lindaburg was 2-for-3 with one home run. Laughlin and Goodman both went 2-for-4.
McCloud 8, Seminole 1
Chelsea East singled in Robin Huffman in the first inning and Kiley Newsome hit a two-run double to launch the McCloud’s seven-run winm over Seminole.
Huffman (5-10) got the winning nod on the mound.
On the plate, she was 2-for-3 with one double.
Teammates Amanda O’Neal and produced similar numbers, going 2-for-3 with one double. Newsome was also 2-for-3 with her double.
Seminole got its only run in the sixth inning.
