ASHER, Okla. —

Rod Williams hurled a four-inning no-hitter against Konawa Tuesday as Asher’s Indians won the contest 9-0 and moved to 17-10 on the season.
Williams did not allow a hit as he pitched two innings of relief earlier in the day against Earlsboro. The Indians won that game, 15-1, by virtue of the run rule in 2 1/2 innings.
“It doesn’t matter who you play, where you play and when you play, when a kid can throw a no-hitter, that’s something,” said Asher coach Shane Coker. “When your pitcher has a day like that, it’s very refreshing.”
Against Earlsboro, the Indians led 6-1 after one inning before punctuating the match with a nine-run second. Asher outhit the Wildcats, 9-1.
Asher starter Derek Claytor moved to 6-3 while earning the win, giving up Earlsboro’s only hit and only run in one inning of work. Williams came on for the save and recorded four strikeouts without issuing a walk.
Tyler Boles swatted a two-RBI home run while Matt Palmer batted in two runs in going 2-for-2. Dakota Magby rounded out the offensive attack with three RBIs on a 2-for-3 effort.
Against Konawa, Asher led 4-0 after the first inning and 8-0 after the second.
Williams recorded four strikeouts and evened his mound record to 3-3 in the complete four-inning no-hitter.
The Indians collected seven hits on the game, led by Palmer’s 2-for-2 outing and Williams’ 2-for-3 outing. Boles collected a two-RBI double, while Johnson hit a one-RBI double.
The Indians, ranked 13th in Class B, will host Macomb at 4 p.m. Thursday.
