School board filing begins Monday; Election set Feb. 10

The three-day filing period for open school board seats on Pottawatomie County school boards begins Monday and elections are scheduled Feb. 10.
Interested candidates can file declarations of candidacy from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Pottawatomie County Election Board in the courthouse, 325 N. Broadway in Shawnee. The filing period concludes at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Almost all of the school boards in Pottawatomie County have at least one seat up for election and Shawnee Public Schools and Gordon Cooper Technology Center each have two seats.
