Girls volleyball camp to be offered

The Shawnee High School Volleyball Booster Club will offer a girls’ volleyball camp June 2-4 at Shawnee Middle School.
The camp is open to girls from area schools entering grades five through 12. The format of the camp will consist of a session from 8 a.m. to noon for experienced players (grades nine through 12) and a session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for younger players (grades five through eight).
The cost of the camp is $85, and registration forms are available by calling (405) 878-8516.
Heather Mazeitis, head volleyball coach at the University of Louisiana, will conduct the camp.
In addition to coaching collegiately, Mazeitis has been involved in coaching USA Junior Club volleyball in the Heart of American Region.
The Leavenworth, Kan., native has 12 years of experience working with student athletes, and she has coached two successful volleyball programs at Louisiana Tech University and Kansas City Community College.
