To the Editor:
I have long been a Republican but I am disappointed in Congresswoman Mary Fallin and Sen. Jim Inhofe.Why do they think we, the people, put them up there? It was not for them to play politics with our money. Would any of you leave your house on fire on Christmas Day and spend someone else’s money to fly half way across the country while it was on fire?
I sure wouldn’t. I guess Mary thought it was more important to fly back to Oklahoma than to put the fire out; Jim must be thinking burn, baby burn. I do wish this crisis had never happened, but since it did, I wish it had happened before the primary season. We then would probably have a Republican candidate for these offices I could support.
I, for one, would have ran personally against Mary Fallin. If she wins I will most likely run against her in two years. If we can’t get someone in congress that supports the people they represent then why have them up there at all? In my opinion, we should fire them all and start again.
The Democrats, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Nancy Polosi, caused this problem from the beginning but our representatives chose not to help contain the problem. Yes, Mary changed her vote — a little too late for me. Not only did it cost me and others greatly with our retirement funds, but it ended up costing all taxpayers an additional billion dollars. And who knows what all the pork added to the bill will cost us in the future.
Thanks Mary and Jim. I have long been your supporter — but no more.
