I just saw a recent report on the news that they wanted to put sex offenders in a neighborhood where there are schools and kid’s zone just up the street on Center, and yes also, there are some churches in this area. What are you all thinking? To do such an unsafe thing to the people you all know. It is very dangerous to the kids and senior citizens to put these sex offenders in this location and to see the mayor say there is nothing they can do to stop this.
Even though this is a big threat to these people, kids, and all. If you all are so concerned about the welfare, are these sex offenders more important than children, etc? Then you need to put them in your high class neighborhood where you live, and donít prey on the innocent.
Correct me if I’m wrong, I have been taught that the law protects people, not to wait for a crime to happen before you do something. Then they only get a slap on the hand, let them go back on the street. I hope the people of Shawnee will fight for what is safe. Apparently you donít care and that makes it sad.
I bet if you have family, grandkids living in this area, you all will sing a different tune if they was going to put these offenders in your neighborhood. Think about it before you all allow this to happen. Once a sex offender, always a sex offender. These are very dangerous people, but I don’t have to remind you what these people are. You already know.
That’s why you don’t let them move in your neighborhood.
