We Americans put up with a lot of nonsense. We don’t want to. We know crazy stuff is going on, but what can we do? I believe we are the generation that is witnessing the death of common sense. We now have a president as Sen. Jim Inhofe said, “I just don’t know whose side he is on.” Neither do we Sen. Inhofe.
Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who being caught in a lie herself, is now calling the CIA liars. Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd were our security guards over Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac said not to worry, everything is fine. It wasn’t. Both are still looking out for us in Congress.
The chapter 11 bankruptcy of GM was the first of its kind; it must have been a “chapter 11 ½.” We can’t list all the negative stuff affecting our lives on one sheet of paper. Why does the ACLU (Anti Christian League Union) seem to have more power than the government?
Obama and the environmental people want to switch from oil to other energy sources. What other sources? According to AP Writer James MacPherson, The Bakken shale formation in North Dakota and Montana holds up to 167 billion barrels of oil. The U.S. Geological Survey claims there is between 3.0 and 4.3 billion barrels of “continuous technically recoverable” oil. There is also plenty of oil in Alaska and offshore.
We have lots of oil. This small special interest group is telling our government what they can and cannot do. CO2 is not destroying our planet. If we didn’t have CO2, we wouldn’t need O2 either, life would cease to exist. It is all a money grab. Al Gore is now worth more than $100 million, all coming from the global warming hysteria.
Our government wants to tax us for burning hydrocarbons (oil, gas etc.) because somehow that will save the planet. A study by MIT said it would cost every family $3,100 annually if Congress passes the Cap and Trade bill. Right now, Congress is trying to pass a bill to annually tax livestock owners $175 for dairy cows, $80 for beef cows and $20 for hogs. Why? Because they belch and it gives off methane gas. States rights, well that is just a myth. States seceding from the Union, not so farfetched after all.
