Jack and Joyce Harris of Shawnee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary 1 p.m. Saturday at Meeker City Hall with family and friends.
They were married Oct. 8, 1958, at Aydelotte Baptist Church with the Rev. Beacham Miles officiating.
They have three children, Diana Harris of Bronson, Kan., Patricia Long of Olathe, Kan., and Thomas Harris of Macomb. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Harris retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1993 and was born and reared in Meeker the son of Tom and Lydia (Green) Harris.
Mrs. Harris, the daughter of Harvey and Ora (Toolery) Inman, was reared in Tecumseh.
