St. Gregory’s University senior Marisol Hernandez will host a health fair April 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Rockwood Center’s Great Room on the SGU campus. The fair, Hernandez’s senior project, will feature booths from at least six health organizations from the area. The event is free and open to the public.
“I chose to organize a health fair because I believe it’s important for our community to be exposed to information about their health and to be aware of health risks,” said Hernandez, a natural science major with emphasis in exercise science. “A health fair is also a way of reaching families and informing them about the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.”
Hernandez said the featured organizations have donated some of their services as door prizes for the event. Included in the door prizes are free heart scans, massages, exercise programs and services from a pharmacist, personal trainer and chiropractor.
