Sisters at Heart ministry, for women of all ages, will meet at Wesley United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m. The snack supper and fellowship will be highlighted by the music and message of Christian recording artist Patty Curl, who resides in Ponca City.
Curl is a women’s retreat and conference speaker as well as a concert soloist and recording artist. She has released seven albums, appeared on many TV and radio programs and is very active in her community.
Her true passion, she said, is to share her love for her savior, Jesus Christ, and to help others find that same love and purpose in life.
“Best of All Gifts” will be the topic of Curl’s message for the Sisters at Heart gathering. Her introduction and program will begin after supper, about 7 p.m.
Curl spoke at schools for 10 years on drug and alcohol abuse, and on helping the children recognize their value. She started Teenline, a crisis line for youth in her community, and coordinated the program for about three years. She and her husband of 45 years, Spencer, have two children, Lori and John, and one granddaughter.
All women are invited to come enjoy an evening with “sisters,” where new friendships begin every month. A nursery is always provided. Any women who are able to and enjoy bringing in finger foods are thanked in advance for sharing in the blessings of the evening. Wesley is located at 302 E. Independence. The south entrance is most convenient to the gathering in the fellowship hall.
