On Sunday, the Blackburn Chapel, 36305 Lake Road in Bethel Acres, will be having their annual God and Country Day.
The church would like to invite the community to join them. Blackburn will have regular Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and  a patriotic service at 11 a.m. At 5 p.m., the church will have a special service from its children about the children camp experience at Cross Timbers.
At 6:30 p.m., Blackburn will have hamburgers and hot dogs—the church is providing the hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish and pickles, so please bring whatever sides you would like, at least enough for your family, plus a dessert.
At 8 p.m., the church will have a concert featuring Corbett Story and the Story Time Band. The band also plays every Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center.
At 9 p.m., Blackburn will have homemade ice cream—with a prize for the best tasting—so if you have a freezer, bring some ice cream.
Following that, the church will have fire works at dark.
Please join Blackburn in celebrating members of the military and their families.
