Taste of Home cooking school made a stop in the Shawnee community April 9. More than 750 people attended the event, which brought expertise from various areas to the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center. Spencer Kidney of Tecumseh emceed the event.
Attendees were able to visit various vendor booths. Vendor booths included items such as makeup, jewelry, photography, real estate, winery, candles and more.
Those who purchased a ticket for the school were given a goodie bag filled with recipes, give-a-ways and more.
Specialist instruction included culinary expert Jamie Dunn assisted by 4-H girls who helped Dunn prepare for demonstrations. Dunn provided step-by-step instruction on how to create favorite dishes.
Attendees also registered for more than 200 door prizes including recipes created on stage.
