Three libraries set programs

The Teen’s Summer Reading Challenge at Tecumseh, Shawnee and McLoud libraries continue to occupy local teens.
Tecumseh Public Library, 114 N. Broadway, has a hands-on art workshop 2 p.m. Tuesday with artist Kiona Wooton-Millrons.
When teens bring an oversized T-shirt, they will conduct T-shirt Surgery by transforming the shirt to a fashion statement.
Supplies other than T-shirts are provided; registration is required. The Friends of the Tecumseh Library sponsor the program.
Teens will have the opportunity to play all the newest games on Nintendo Wii during Game On at 2 p.m. July 8.
 Teens may get involved in Bookend Art by transforming plain metal bookends into works of art that will be used and displayed throughout the library 2 p.m. July 15. The program is paid for by the friends of the library.
Shawnee Public Library, 101 N. Philadelphia, has a teen movie day titled “My Life — Lookin’ Back. . . Lookin’ Forward” 2 p.m. Wednesday. Teens will have an opportunity to create a timeline of their lives. After teens watch this comedy about a congressman whose life becomes an almighty mess after he builds an ark to save the world.
“No Boots, No Spurs, No Problems,” a program  of International Youth Finals from around the country will demonstrate ropin,’ ridin’  and rodeo events followed by chuckwagon cooking will be held  2 p.m. July 16. Registration is required to attend. For more information, call 275-6353.
The McLoud Public Library, 133 N. Main, will sponsor a “Build-A-Bug Worshop at 2 p..m. July 9 at the library. Sara Weeks, 4-H youth and Youth Development, will teach the program about bugs and then teens will make a bug from recycled items.
The program “How a Service Dog Can Change Your Life,” will be given by Dawn Ramsey at 2 p.m. July 16. McLoud’s teen programs are held at the American Legion across the street from the library. “How Service Dogs Can Change  Your Life 2 p.m. July 16.
