New Beginnings church offers Spirit Quest II written and taught by JR McElfresh, Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.
People have heard the saying, “Stick n’ Stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me!”
Unfortunately, that saying may sound good but may not be entirely true. Words have energy.
There is evena field of science that studies words - linguistics. But quantum mechainics may be revealing to us a lot more about words and the energy that they create.
Prayer may well be the spiritual engine that connects spiritual forces and physical forces.
SQ2 is a study of the connection between words, energy, creation and God’s Shekinah Glory.
It is an in-depth study of how science and scripture may be revealing a lot more about our universe than we can understand. SQ2 is a discussion about these intriguing ideas.
McElfresh has been a teacher and church leader for more than 20 years.
Now retired from a 30-year career as a materials management professional, he is devoted full time to writing, teaching and ministry. He is an avid Bible scholar, degreed and trained at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
His work has been reviewed by a number of prominent church leaders, university professors, and congressmen.
Their overwhelming response is “This book (Spirit Quest I) is a must read for those searching for spiritual answers.”
McElfresh does not take lightly the responsibility that goes with writing on spiritual influence.
As survivor of Sudden Death Syndrome (January 2001), he sought spiritual answers for his survival and the purpose for being spared. The response lies in the pages of his writing.
He and his wife, Marilee live in Tecumseh. McElfresh may be contacted at 405-585-3014 or msmac5138@gmail.com.
