Wallace Avenue Baptist Church, 601 W. Wallace, will hold a revival at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Oct. 18 and at 7 p.m. Oct. 19-21.
Dr. David Whitlock, evangelist, and Dale Griffin, worship leader, will lead the revival services.
Whitlaock became Oklahoma Baptist University’s newest president Nov. 1, 2008. He served a combined 24 years as a college professor and administrator and is noted for his emphasis on the integration of faith and learning.
Whitlock is a fifth-generation Oklahoman, born in Purcell, and is the husband of Dana Searles and father to four sons, Joshua, Ryan, David and Landon.
Griffin is a 1984 OBU alum who has spent most of his life working with students. Griffin and wife, Donna, have served together as worship leaders for student and mission conferences and revivals throughout the southwest.
Griffin’s vision for OBU’s campus ministry is that OBU will “educate the whole person for Kingdom purposes.”
