The Mabee Aerobic Center on the campus of St. Gregory’s University will hold swim lessons beginning June 14.
Lessons will take place Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks. The cost is $50. Leading the lessons will be SGU alumnus Landin Boler, who is certified with the American Red Cross.
Lessons will be divided into two age groups: water babies and child classes. The water baby section, which will be offered from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., is for children ages six months to three years old. A parent or guardian must assist the child in the water during those lessons. The second section, child classes, is for ages four and up. That section will run from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Private lessons will also be offered, by appointment only, at $30 per class.
More swim lessons will be offered by the MAC at a later date this summer. The MAC also is also still accepting participants for its dog obedience classes. For more information or to register for either offering, contact the front desk of the MAC at 405-878-5290 or via e-mail at tranderson@stgregorys.edu.
