Funeral services for an 11-year-old Shawnee girl who lobbied Oklahomans to donate bone marrow will be held Wednesday in Antlers.

Services for Tallie Anderson will be at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Antlers, not in Durant as was previously reported.

Family spokesman David Voyles says a viewing is being held at Mills-Coffee Funeral Home in Antlers.

The girl's father, Richard Anderson, says the girl died Saturday of pulmonary fibrosis, created by chemotherapy treatments.

Tallie had a rare blood disorder and waited two years for a donor that matched her body.

Tallie, who was of Choctaw decent, helped raise awareness about the need for donors of blood marrow.

Officials say Tallie's public awareness campaign has accounted for as many as 250 American Indians being added to the state's Oklahoma.
