Shotgun shooters

Pottawatomie County 4-H members show off their awards from a recent 4-H shotgun shooting sports match. Pictured left to right are Josh Pope of Tecumseh, Wyatt Stinnett of Maud, Glenn Peters of Maud and Jared McDonald of Asher. Josh Pope earned first place in the advanced division. In the beginner division, Garrett Stinnett won first, with Glenn Peters and Jared McDonald tied for second and third place. The county 4-H shooting sports club is led by volunteer Ken Caudle. The club meets monthly for instruction, practice and matches. Other disciplines include air rifle, air pistol and small bore rifle.
